1955 EINSTEIN 24 x 16 WOOD BLOCK PRINT by IRVING AMEN (RARE TWO TONE)

(Blue Border Matte Board Not Include). This wonderful depiction of Einstein's portrait, created in a post impressionist, modern style typical of Irving Amen's other works was most likely created to commemorate. Einstein's death on April 18, 1955.

However, this is an unusual and rare two tone print not typically seen in other pieces by the artist. The print is pencil signed and numbered on lower L/R corners and plate initialed (A) on the L/L and year marked ('55) on the lower right hand corner of image. Overall very good to fair and adhered to an artist board which has caused very, very minor toning. There is a small and minor water stain on the L/L edge, just below the signature (photo #4). That said and because this print was never cut to size, after having this print matted and framed, the stain is entirely covered and one would ever know it's there.

NOTE: The blue matte board is not included and it was just used for displaying purposes only. Print by a well known listed American artist is a must have in any Irving Amen or Albert Einstein collection or on it's own, will look great in any decor. Please look over photos carefully.
